What is the didactic game aimed at «Parts of the Body and Face»:

  • 56 flashcards featuring names of body parts and facial features in English.

This set of developmental materials is designed to help children learn and memorize the names of body parts and facial features in English. Each flashcard features a clear image of one object alongside its name. This format simplifies perception and ensures that children easily remember new words.

The flashcards encourage the development of conscious reading skills. Children learn to process information thoughtfully, understand its meaning, and connect words with images. This makes learning more intuitive and effective.

The flashcards help children to:

  • Expand their English vocabulary – by learning and correctly using the names of body parts.
  • Develop cognitive skills – by training observation, analytical thinking, and comparison skills.
  • Build an understanding of the world – by relating images to real-life objects.
  • Enhance communication skills – by practicing how to ask questions, describe what they see, and apply knowledge in everyday life.

This set is perfect for individual and group activities with children at home, in kindergartens, or schools.

Ideas for Using the “Parts of the Body and Face” Educational Flashcards with Children:

1) Learning the Names of Body and Face Parts.

Show each card individually and pronounce the names, encouraging children to repeat the words. Explain the function of each body part. Before each session, shuffle the cards and present them in a new order.

2) Game: “Guess the Body Part”.

Display a card’s image and ask children to name the corresponding body part. You can make the task more challenging by covering part of the image.

3) Game: “Find Your Body Part”.

Children should match the card image with the corresponding part of their own body.

4) Sorting and Classification.

Invite children to divide the cards into groups based on shared characteristics—for example, “face parts” and “body parts.”

5) Role-Playing Game “Doctor and Patient”.

Children can use the cards to describe what “hurts” or which body parts need “treatment.”

6) Physical Activity Game.

After showing the cards, ask children to perform movements related to the body parts (e.g., waving hands, smiling, brushing teeth, etc.).

7) Game: “Read and Match”.

This option is suitable for children who are learning to read. It helps develop reading comprehension skills. Before the game, cut the cards along the line, separating the words from the images. Explore the pictures with the child, naming the body and face parts as the child points them out. Then, ask the child to read the cards with words and place them under the corresponding images. Finally, encourage them to create sentences using these words.
